In this age of crime and dishonesty it is extremely important to do a background check of everyone you do business with.  Total strangers can be polite. They can act as if they are friends of friends can end up by hurting or killing you.

These days we have to teach our children not to trust those they do not know. Never take the hand of a stranger, or walk over to them and say hello. 

We are teaching our young children fear - fear of the unknown and of those they have not yet met. I have said hello to many a child, right in front of their parents, but the kid holds tightly to the arms of their parents and will quiver in fear.

This generation has to learn fear. Do not do business with those you have not yet done a background check on. Friendly people are to be feared, and children are no longer allowed to play freely out of doors.

Background checks are done easily. If you know where the person you want to check, call their office. If they work i

n a store, speak to the manager and get data on their background.

Sitting on a park bench and talking to a stranger is frowned upon by parents. Even the elderly no longer trust anyone who approaches them that they do not know.

Call the police if you are suspicious of a person who is trying to sell you something. Call the Better Business Bureau to do a background check on a business owner.

Do not talk to strangers is now the rule, even if the stranger you meet is wearing a cleric robe.

Do not look for a dog that is lost if you are asked to. You can no longer trust anyone regardless of where you live or your age. If another person smiles innocently, we are taught to get up and walk away.

It is easy these days to do a background check while sitting at home. Use the computer to search for the name and occupation of anyone you call to repair your house or car and be safe!
